The CeilingMIC Ceiling Microphone fits most interiors with its sleek design, featuring smooth lines and quality acoustic fabric casing. These overhead microphones are a cheaper alternative to a custom setup. Compared to desktop microphones, ceiling mounted microphones create a clean look in the meeting room and eliminate the clutter of cables scattered across the table. CeilingMIC can be installed in the presence of false ceilings and open ceilings.
With 360 degree pickup coverage, a CeilingMIC provides excellent service for an average sized meeting room table. For larger tables, adding a second CeilingMIC provides additional coverage.
Each CeilingMIC unit offers the performance of three microphone elements embedded in a single pendant enclosure. Each unidirectional cardioid microphone element features built-in echo cancellation and digital signal processing (DSP), including equalization, filtering, and automatic gain control (AGC). DSP in a complementary product such as Vaddio AV Bridge MATRIX PRO or EasyUSB Mixer / Amp provides remote AEC reference and applies it to individual microphone elements, so conference calls are clear from both ends of the conversation.
With its plug-and-play design, installation is simple - simply connect a Cat-5 cable between the CeilingMIC microphone interface box and the Vaddio compatible Vaddio equipment. Power, control and audio are all built into the single cable. The CeilingMIC supports lengths up to 30.48m. of Cat-5 cable between its interface box and the EasyMIC ports. In addition, its lightweight and simplified ceiling box allows for quick and easy installations.
The CeilingMIC pendant includes an adjustable 0.9m drop cable. with a standard RJ45 connection, the pendant can be extended to a total length of 5 meters from the interface box.
